Calling Features - Telemarket Block




	TeleMarket Block - $4.95 per month TeleMarket Block is an optional feature that gives the subscriber greater control of their privacy by providing a method for dealing with a telephone solicitors. The feature can be assigned to residential or single party business lines. It cannot be assigned to business group numbers, hunt group members of hunt groups. When activated, the feature informs the caller with a recorded announcement that the number they are calling does not accept calls from telemarketing groups

and they should hang up. All others may press the digit “1” if they wish to complete the call. Any other digit pressed will result in a busy tone and calls from rotary phones will not be completed. All callers will receive the recorded announcement if this feature is NOT combined with Caller ID.

Calls to a subscriber who also has the Caller ID feature active on their line will not be given the recorded announcement where the calling number is known or public (i.e., can be displayed). All other callers will be given the recorded announcement and the option to press “1” to complete the call – if they are not a telephone solicitor
